Challenging social and menu standards

Restaurant Asplund is located on the ground floor of our hotel in Solna. The menu is varied and inspired by different corners of the world: the Nordics, Tokyo, Istanbul, New Delhi – depending on the day you choose to dine. It has an urban philosophy, using the freshest seasonal produce. Plenty of vegetables are implemented in the dishes for a clean and green touch.

Just like the architect

Gunnar Asplund, who designed the building that both hotel and restaurant are housed in, liked clean lines and shapes. He strived to challenge the Swedish design norms of the time. Restaurant Asplund has a similar ethos. It challenges both aspects of the menu and how people socialise whilst dining.

Since opening in 2014, the signature dish has involved a new way of serving freshly baked pizzas. Half the size, twice as flavourful, with a salad on the side.

Every weekday they serve a breakfast buffet and a lunch. On Saturdays, guests sit down for a delicious brunch. Everything is available for take away for those who prefer to eat in the comfort of their apartments.

… private dining on request

We also have a meeting room connected to the restaurant. It’s perfect if you require a secluded place for a company meeting: a chambre séparée featuring bespoke set menus. The rooms is hired by the hour.
